Kelley Smock

Studio Manager and Ballet Instructor

Ms. Kelley has been dancing since she was 3 years old here in Las Vegas. She began her dance education studying ballet, jazz, and tap. When she was 11 years old she began her focus in ballet training where she was part of the Pre-Professional Ballet Company at Nevada Ballet Theater until 2008. While at NBT she performed in various excerpts of classical ballets including Raymonda, Le Corsaire, and many performances of The Nutcracker. She trained as an understudy to the professional company under the direction of Ella Gourkova and Victoria Stocki Kim. When Kelley was just 16 years old, she performed her first pas de deux as “Odette” from Swan Lake under the direction of Luz Morante. In 2008, Kelley was also given the opportunity to perform in Ribbon for Life for Golden Rainbow at the Paris Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip under the direction of Tara Foy.

Kelley graduated as a dance major from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in 2009, and was then awarded a dance scholarship to Colorado Mesa University. While at CMU, Kelley was acknowledged for her student choreography and performed for the American College Dance Association Gala. Kelley went on to perform many principal roles in The Nutcracker under the direction of Luz Morante, and has numerous years experience teaching ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. Kelley brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and patience in guiding the next generation of dancers. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering creativity, discipline, and self-expression, and she deeply believes in creating a supportive and inspiring environment where her students can explore the boundless possibilities of dance.

When Kelley is not teaching or managing Jordance, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Kelley has two daughters who are aspiring dancers at Jordance Studios and a son who loves to play baseball- she’s still trying to get him into the dance studio!
