Erik Soberano

Adult Salsa and Bachata Instructor

Coach Erik Soberano started his love of dance from his parents playing Michael Jackson music videos as soon as he “popped out the womb”! It wasn’t until 2014 when he took his first official Salsa class “on1” here in downtown Las Vegas at what used to be called Florida Cafe. From there, he completed one entire season, and he performed at the Reno Latin Dance Festival and the Las Vegas Congress in 2015. He’d predominantly studied Salsa and Bachata through film study and on YouTube throughout his pursuit of his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from UNLV. Coach Erik is a full time Fitness and Health Coach both in person and online.

It was the social dance scene that was the undertow for his dance life, and that was where he fully invested his time to learn. He would also travel domestically to find the best spots to dance salsa and bachata. His philosophy comes from his uncle Bruce Lee’s quote, “I fear not a man who has practiced 10,000 kicks, but one who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” So, with that, once you mark your 10,000th suzie q, you can then move on to the Suzie Q Plus!
